Guestbook

I rented the Manoir at Beynac to celebrate my 60th birthday. Friends and family joined us for two weeks. Every one of us had a fabulous time. This amazing house is a hidden gem. Privacy is protected by stone walls and a gate. There are a lot of tourists walking up to the Chateau in the lane outside the gate that turn and look every time we emerged from the gate. One man asked if I was the queen of the castle. I said yes, for a short time. I certainly felt like one. We gathered around the table outside under the trees that had views to die for. The pool was a welcome relief every afternoon and was a perfect temperature. On the night of my birthday, coincidentally there was a stunning fireworks display. I like to think it was for me. Every morning the balloons would lift off. Sounding like a valley of fire breathing dragons and on one occasion skimming just over the trees in the garden. The manoir is a magical experience for a special event that will not be forgotten.

The chateau is divine! A magnificent location. We felt we were in a fairytale the whole week The chateau is spacious and was the perfect private getaway for our group of 7. Loved every minute!
I had a fantastic stay with friends at the manor. Sabine was proactively friendly and helpful in advance of the stay even offering a shop ahead option. The manor and views are truly beautiful. Our group liked to cook our own evening meals and we found the kitchen very well stocked with quality equipment. Would not hesitate to recommend.
We stayed here with a group of friends and it exceeded our high expectations. The location is amazing and the property is so beautiful. We all agreed this was the most beautiful house we have ever rented.
Stunning manor house

Amazing views, a fantastic location and Sabine was very helpful and responsive. The house interior is impressive - think living in a castle. A couple of minor things: the interior is a bit dated, but in keeping with the style of property, the kitchen a little small for catering a large group, but well stocked and more than adequate, and walking up from the village is good exercise! These are minor quibbles. Overall we could not recommend this house more. We all wanted to stay on longer and to tome back again as soon as possible. Fantastic.
Family gathering
*****
Though Beynac-et-Cazenac is not the easiest destination in France, once you are there, you never want to leave. That is the consensus from all 10 of our family meme era about our stay at the Chateau. It far exceeded our wildest imaginations...from the expansive house and grounds, to the life saving pool during one of the hottest weeks on record, we enjoyed every minute. Sabine was wonderful to communicate with. All in all, the best vacation ever.
A charming and unique property , with outstanding views.

The property is in a great location , with much to offer and experience in the surrounding area. The Manor House itself is well equipped and comfortable. The pool area and views are stunning and make this place a absolute gem and the hot air balloons floating by are a real spectacle! The approach and parking is a little tight if you have larger vehicles. Some of the kitchen appliances are a little tired too, but these a minor and hopefully constructive criticisms of a wonderful stay. Thank you Sabine.
Beautiful spacious manor with view

The manor house was spacious ,beds were comfortable and bathrooms were efficient. The grounds with blooming roses were beautiful. The views were superb. The pool was heated and warm. Having the washer and dryer really helped us to pack lighter. A very good experience.
?I wanted let you know that we really enjoyed our time at Beynac!
?Our sincerest appreciation for your warm welcome and outstanding house!
We look forward to coming again and we will certainly recommend this place!?
We had a wonderful time in Beynac at the Manor House. It was very spacious and great for a big group. With multiple levels of patios, lawns, vistas and the pool deck, it is great for groups to have their own alone time if they wish or hang out as a group inside by the fire or by the pool. The view from the property is surreal and with the hot air balloons going overhead, you have to pinch yourself that you are awake. We will visit again. Thank you to Sabine for facilitating us and the owners of the property for the amazing stay.
This is an amazing property with the most beautiful views over the Dordogne River and surrounding chateaux. It has everything you need to entertain a large group. Whilst the house is a little ‘rustic’ in parts, it is a fantastic destination for families or groups of friends. We absolutely loved the stunning gardens, views and pool. It was almost magical sitting on the terraces in the evening watching the hot air balloons go past whilst sipping our aperitifs. For our group of well travelled friends - this was a favourite and we all highly recommend the manoir- it is a very special holiday destination.
The "wow" factor is amazing

A four week stay at this amazing manor with family and friends was amazing. All the bedrooms were excellent so no one was "cheated". The great room was truly remarkable. You can walk to everything in Beynac, but beware, everything is quite vertical. The manor sits on the major walking path from the parking to the chateau so be prepared for curious folks poking around for a glimpse of the manor's "royalty". The town was crowded, as expected, but not uncomfortably so. The kitchen had a few quirks, but the manor had lots of stuff to work around any situation. Several guests asked why there were not shots of the entire manor given how stately it is. The property is so vertical (the lowest level being the pool room, then the pool, then up some to a large grass area and up again to the manor which continues up the hill), and trees surround it providing shade that there really is no one place to take such a photo. But be certain. You will be amazed.
I just wanted to say on behalf of the family, thank you for all your help and for renting your beautiful family home, we had an amazing and unforgettable time, especially as family holidays are so precious as the boys grow older. Its a stunning house and offers a perfect base to discover the surrounding area. Hopefully see you again soon,
We left your beautiful home on 4th July, but it remains firmly in our hearts. We all had a truly wonderful stay. Mme. Lacoste was a treasure. She made us feel so welcome and looked after us beautifully. Many thanks for the drinks and the foie gras in the fridge on our arrival.. A very kind welcome. For the family we travelled with, this was their very first trip to Europe and staying at the manoir has made them very hungry for more. My 4 year old tells everybody, often, that he is going to live in the manoir house when he grows up! So, so many super memories have been made at the manoir. My greatest thanks to you. I hope one day to return! My warmest wishes and heartiest thanks to you
