Mas Cavaille - le Domaine (ref. 0165) - Gite rental Sarlat 16 beds

Located at the end of a small dead end and in the heart of a vast garden of more than 3000m ², the Domaine de Mas Cavaillé is a superior property offering piece and quiet, lot of charms and great comfort.

The two self catering houses are set on both sides of the very beautiful pool area and enjoy multiples terraces. A new dormitory bedroom sleeping up to 6 tall children or teenagers have just been created intk the former tabacco barn.

Le Domaine de Mas Cavaillé is ideal for large multi-generational families, or for several families wishing to travel together while keeping their privacy.


THE MAIN HOUSE (3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms)

Located at the entrance of the domain, the main house is ideal for 6 guests.
On the ground floor, the Main House offers:
* A superb open lounge with two glassed doors for direct access to the pool area:
- on the left side, the large open kitchen is perfectly fitted. It has a refrigerator with drawers, a semi-professional 5-burner gas hob, an oven, microwave, dishwasher. The amount of dishes and cooking appliances is more than generous.
The dining area, with wooden table, allows you to have lunch together indoors.
- on the right side, the cosy sitting area is furnished with two large comfortable sofas, a coffee table, library shelf, flat-screen TV and wood stove, which can be used in mid-season and low season.
* It leads onto a large shower room with a walk in shower, a sink, toilet, washing machine and dryer.

The beautiful wooden staircase from the living room leads to the first floor. The landing distributes successively:
* A first large double room, with a 160cm wide bed, two tables and bedside lamps, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
* A modern bathroom with vanity and large tiled walk-in shower
* A second double room with a double bed, a table and bedside lamp, shelves, a chest of drawers.
* A third large bedroom with a double bed, two tables and bedside lamps, a chest of drawers, a small storage unit, a desk and shelves. It has a glass door leading onto the garden and the terrace overlooking the pool.
* The large hallway offers a play area for children and an office space to work comfortably installed.
* Separate toilets complete this floor.


THE COTTAGE (2 double bedrooms, 1 small single bedroom, 1 full bathroom)

set opposite side of the swimming pool, the Cottage is ideal for another 4 to 5 guests.
The entrance opens on to the main living area comprising kitchen diner and lounge. A fully equipped kitchen and high table with seating for 4/5 persons. The lounge area with sofa, arm chairs. A TV with digital channels, DVD and stereo.
A double bedroom, with a queen size bed, wardrobe, bedside tables, chair and standard lamp.
A small second bedroom with single bed, bedside table and wardrobe (suitable for children only)
A wooden staircase leads down to the master bedroom, with a queen size bed; bedside tables and lamps; wardrobe, chest of drawers and chair.
A family bathroom with basin; wc; fitted bath; walk in shower.

THE OLD BARN (available April 2023)

Recently renovated from bottom to ceiling, the old barn will offer a large dormitory up to 6 tall children. This is the ideal place for cousins or young friends whishing to sleep all together!
They will enjoy 3 bunkbeds and a modern shower room with walk in shower, washbasin and toilet.

OUTSIDE

* Set between the Main house and the cottage the private swimming pool is ideal for a lazy afternoon. For the comfort of our guests the pool is heated from April to October. It is secured through an electric safety cover. There are sun loungers and parasols.
* There are not less than 4 terraces, all equipped with tables and chairs and dine outside and catch the sun all day long. A large Wever charcoal bbq is availabe for you to use.
* The gardens extend to approximately 3300 m2, and are fully fenced. It offers grassy area and a playground for the little ones.
* tennis table and basket are available under the old roofed barn
* Parking for up to 4 cars inside of the properties.

Situation

The Property is 1Km from the Sarlat city center with all its shops, bars and restaurants. The colourful markets on Wednesday and Saturday mornings are a must, as are the narrow cobbled streets.
All the major tourist sights of the Dordogne valley, such as the villages of Domme, la Roque Gageac, Beynac, are all within an easy 30 minute drive.
The nearest motorway is at Souillac, 20 kms to the east, and local airports are at Bergerac, and Brive, both at around 40kms distance.

Changeover day is flexible, except saturday in Peak summer time. 4 days mini in mid and low season / 7 days in July / 10 days in August

This is a magical house for a big group, especially with kids. The houses and barn all worked brilliantly for us, everyone had space to get away to but also super areas to come together in. Highly recommend.

La piscine était à la hauteur des attentes des enfants même sous se temps grisâtre ils se sont baignés !!! A 15 nous avons eu l espace nécessaire pour partager des repas et des jeux ensemble et des espace plus intimes. Tout est vraiment parfait ! Mas Cavaille was a beautiful and comfortable place to stay for our group of 6 women. Each of us had our own room. The decor is a combination of traditional french country side with updated kitchens and baths. Both of the houses were spacious, airy and comfortable. The perfectly heated pool between the homes was a welcome relief at the end of the day. There were so many places to sit, dine, read and relax that is was hard to choose! We tried everything and only wished we had more time to take advantage of staying at this beautiful property. Sabine and Melanie provided great communication before the trip. Offered pre-trip shopping service so that we had supplies on arrival and made a good hand-out for finding the maison and getting into the house. The maison is walking distance 15-20 min to Sarlat center, but is all uphill on the way home so may be difficult for some and a workout with a lot of groceries. However, there is a carpark at the base of the hill to make it easier.
We have just returned from a wonderful stay in this property. The house was spotless, and perfect for a large group - lots of space and different areas for everyone to enjoy. The pool particularly was a treat! I would definitely recommend this property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Perfect location with an easy (and varied) walk into Sarlat. The house(s) are beautiful, spacious and well equipped. The pool was essential during the heat and an additional service was provided promptly when requested. The surrounding area has a lot to offer - sightseeing, excellent food, canoeing and cycling-all close by. Our stay was near perfect and catered well for adults, teenagers and our dog too. Sabine was helpful throughout the booking process and answered our queries quickly. …just sad to leave!! …we would happily have stayed for longer.
