Daglan's Celtic name means 'Good beautiful valley'. The village is ideally set 20 km from Sarlat and less than 10 kilometres from Domme, in the verdant green valley of the River Ceou. As it is in the south of the Dordogne, Daglan is ideally situated for exploring both the Dordogne and the Lot.
The village itself is extremely pretty, and offers a superette, a boulangerie, two excellent restaurants, several craft shops and a lovely market on Sunday mornings.
