|Great little house for exploring the wonderful surrounding areas
We (two couples in their 50s) spent 9 nights in this v nice little house in Saint Cyrien. The house has everything you might need; kitchen was well equipped (apart from no dish washer) with a generous amount of extras in the kitchen, such as flour, herbs & spices, teas, coffee, padtas, rice etc. Bedrooms were v comfortable, bright, clean & roomy & the shower is excellent. Place was spotless when we arrived. The local agent looking after the place is v responsive. We hired the linen from them & arrived to find the beds made up with good quality sheets & the towels were a decent size and quality.
House is located in town, v close to the shops, patisserie (which was excellent), restaraunts, etc. Only dissappoinment was that the local restaurants were fairly basic, lacking one or 2 really good ones, but there are loads of good ones in the surrounding areas. The house is a great base for exploring, being within an hour's drive of so many wonderful places.. We spent 9 days there, doing daily excursions, & still didn't get to see all we wanted..
We had a hired a car but didn't use the gargage as the street is narrow & a bit awkward, our car was big & there are 2 big free car parks close by with lots of parking , so we just used those.
All in all a great value house to use as a base to explore the area.

|Very comfortable and quiet house in a great location just a few seconds from the main street where you'll find a couple good restaurants and handy stores. There's also a good bakery another minute away by foot as well as a Carrefour Express market (and a short drive away) a full-sized Carrefour supermarket. We didn't need the provided garage space as there was always at least one spot available across the narrow street. The house has bathrooms on both floors, which was very convenient. The stairs are narrow and somewhat steep, so perhaps a challenge for the very young or others. We always held our four-year-old's hand when going down. We appreciated that the hosts put down grip tape on each step to minimize the risk of slipping. In short, our stay was very enjoyable and we would definitely stay there again and recommend it to those seeking a convenient, comfortable, and quiet stay in the Dordogne region.|
|Beautiful Petit Bijou,
Petit Bijou is a great home to stay whilst travelling around the beautiful Dordogne region. It has absolutely everything that you could need to have a wonderful time in St Cyprien, so close to the restaurants, supermarkets, markets, the beautiful Dordogne river and the house is so well equipped to cook a meal at home. We will definitely be recommending Petit Bijou to others for a fantastic place to stay. Thanks to all for making our stay in St. Cyprien so enjoyable and memorable.,
