Testimonial on Villa Verdier (Ref. 0537) - Holidays rental Les Eyzies de Tayac Sireuil We spent over a week at La Villa Verdier in early September 2022. How much we enjoyed it. A fantastic house, very well equipped and fully equipped. Fine bedrooms with good beds and air conditioning. From the large terrace overlooking a huge garden with several seating areas, lovely swimming pool with sun loungers and parasols. In short, an oasis of peace and nature. For extensive shopping we visited supermarket E.Leclerc in Sarlat, for smaller groceries the super in Les Eyzies. Both places are well worth a visit, by the way. You imagine yourself in prehistoric times, we feasted our eyes. To think of trips, we gratefully used all the information leaflets in the house and Tripadvisor. Hiking is possible everywhere but also just from the house. A feast to spot deer and their calves, also close by and even in the garden. On one of our walks we were guided by a local dog, he showed us the way and walked with us for up to an hour! Tips: the crystal cave, stargazing on the sun loungers in your own garden, the free prehistoric museum in Les Eyzies, the walnut cake (local product), just a day at your own pool with one of the many books or magazines available, the cave of Rouffignac with prehistoric drawings and the Commarque castle. We had a lovely holiday and will definitely go back again, perhaps with our 4 children, because it is big enough for that! Family Bruins |

Le logement est confortable, décoré avec goût et doté d'une cuisine moderne entièrement équipée avec un four et lave-vaisselle. Plusieurs terrasses meublées où vous pourrez prendre un bon repas et boire un verre tous ensemble. Un immense jardin où on peut toujours trouver un coin d'ombre. Au bord de la belle piscine ronde, vous pourrez vous prélasser sur un des transats. 2 salles de bains modernes et 4 chambres spacieuses avec de beaux lits, même le lit superposé est ferme et permet aux adultes de dormir aussi. The house is cosily furnished and very well equipped, with excellent kitchen, beds and two nice bathrooms. The air-conditioning, swimming pool and many shady spots on the estate provided much-needed cooling in the heatwave. The house is very quietly located on a dead-end lane, you walk straight into the forest. Les Eyzies is a few minutes away by car and is a nice town with a good bakery, tasty restaurants and a beautiful museum on prehistory. For culture lovers, the area offers many interesting things, from castles to museums and lots of prehistoric caves. On rainy, or very hot days, Lascaux IV is a must. Testimonial on Villa Verdier (Ref. 0537) - Holidays rental Les Eyzies de Tayac Sireuil We intensely enjoyed our stay in your "little palace" in the Dordogne. What a special place, you feel like a Sun King here. We stayed here last summer in the month of July during the hottest week of the year, but luckily we were able to cool off in the large swimming pool with shower and then chill in shady spots under the trees in the mega-sized garden. Air conditioners in the bedrooms allowed us to sleep well. As we love hiking, this turned out to be a golden spot, lots of possibilities and deer and wild boar spotted every evening or early morning. Also once the whole family went on an organised canoe trip on the Vézere (recommended), which starts a few minutes' drive from here. The children also enjoyed your ping-pong table, a competition every evening. Very many medieval towns are in the vicinity, we visited several. Sarlat is only 15 km away, so we visited this beautiful medieval town with many romantic eating places several times. No shortage of museums, as we had only booked one week we were far from being able to see and visit everything. We plan to come again next year, but for a fortnight. Gusta, Erik-Paul and kids |

La maison est confortable et très bien équipée, avec une excellente cuisine, des lits confortables et deux belles salles de bain. La climatisation, la piscine et les nombreux endroits ombragés de la propriété ont apporté le rafraîchissement nécessaire pendant la canicule. La maison est située au plus grand calme sur un chemin sans issue, vous marchez directement dans la forêt. Les Eyzies, à quelques minutes en voiture, est une jolie ville avec une bonne boulangerie, des restaurants savoureux et un beau musée sur la préhistoire. Pour les amateurs de culture, la région offre de nombreuses choses intéressantes, des châteaux aux musées et de nombreuses grottes préhistoriques. Cosy, tastefully decorated with a modern, fully equipped kitchen with oven and dishwasher. Several furnished terraces where you can all have a nice meal and drink together. A huge garden where you can always find a shady spot. At the lovely round swimming pool, you can laze around on one of the sunbeds. 2 modern bathrooms and 4 spacious bedrooms with nice beds, even the bunk bed is firm and sleeps well for adults too. Testimonial on Villa Verdier (Ref. 0537) - Holidays rental Les Eyzies de Tayac Sireuil Nous avons intensément apprécié notre séjour dans ce petit palais en Dordogne. Quel endroit spécial! Nous avons séjourné ici l'été dernier, au mois de juillet, pendant la semaine la plus chaude de l'année. Mais heureusement, nous avons pu nous rafraîchir dans la grande piscine et nous détendre à l'ombre des arbres de l'immense jardin. Les climatiseurs dans les chambres nous ont permis de bien dormir. Si vous aimez la randonnée, c'est l'endroit rêvé, avec de nombreuses excursions alentours accompagnés de chevreuil et de sangliers aperçus chaque soir ou tôt le matin. Nous avons également gouté au joie d'une excursion en canoë organisée sur la Vézère (vraiment recommandée!). Les enfants ont également apprécié votre table de ping-pong. De très nombreuses villes médiévales se trouvent dans les environs, nous en avons visité plusieurs, dont Sarlat qui st magnifique et seulement à 15km Les musées non plus ne manquent pas, mais en une semaine uniquement nous étions loin de pouvoir tout voir et visiter. It was our second time to stay there, and next time that we return to Sarlat and need more than one bedroom, this is our go-to place. The location could not be any better, perfect for restaurants and for the fantastic Saturday market. The furnishings are absolutely sumptuous (especially the main bedroom, which feels like a Queen's room). The adorable kitchen is very functional, and I enjoy cooking in it a lot. Perhaps best of all is the salon, the sitting room... an amazing space with very comfortable seating and great lighting. A lovely place to share a bottle of wine with friends and family. |

The location is great; right in area of the main square of Sarlat, but up a pedestrian side street, so it was very quiet. The house is a very old structure and very authentic and it is furnished with antiques that compliment this. It has the history of the actually house posted on wall which was very interesting. House was clean and instructions were very clear. Parking was actually easy as well up in the “free” area above the town. Thanks for a fun and enjoyable visit. |

We chose this property to have an “old world” experience and yet have all the modern conveniences that we’re used to. It did not disappoint! Hot water, great shower, tons of electrical outlets for computer use. Master bedroom is huge and situated on the corner for windows on each side. Large private bathroom with two sinks and great shower. It was just the two of us so we didn’t need the other two bedrooms - one on the second floor and one on the third floor. Appreciated the second bathroom on the main floor. We are on an extended stay in France so appreciated the washer and dryer! We also loved the outside table and chairs to enjoy our wine and cheese after a day of sight-seeing. Location, location, location!!!! Perfect! Right around the corner from the square for market days. Restaurants, cafes, shopping all right there. Parking is relatively easy. Park on the street for one hour free parking to unload. Then free parking a couple of blocks away up the hill. Do not hesitate to stay here. If we’re ever in Sarlat again we will stay here! |

So close to the centre of town and the serenity was incredible. The spectacle of the old church bells as the sun sets, while hot air balloons pass by just added to the adventure. Then there is a pool overlooking the river…simply spectacular. We couldn’t believe the views were even better than the pictures online. The villa is in a great location, 2 minutes drive or a short cycle into Cenac village where there is a supermarket, baker and other useful shops and restaurants. Cenac is also one of the best places for river activities (swimming or canoeing). The villa itself is lovely with a heated pool, huge garden, and pétanque court. It has plenty of space for families staying together and is extremely comfortable and well equipped. We would highly recommend it. |

The most important things I look for in an AirBnb is comfort, cleanliness and safety. This home and area met all our needs. The view out the windows of the hot air balloons rising in the evening or the kayakers heading down the river kept us easily entertained. The castle in Beynac is a must. There is so much to do within a short ride from the village. And although Beynac is a sleepy little town in the fall, we enjoyed coming home to that quietness and simplicity after a day of touring. There is an up and downhill climb to the car or the restaurants, so make sure you have your walking shoes with you. We enjoyed the walk as the weather was nice, crisp and clear most days. I especially enjoyed using the outside terrace to work at the end of the day. Again, there is a lot of stairs throughout the house, which was good for us after all the food and drink. The home is well supplied with everything we needed and we managed to cook a few meals at home, which we also enjoy. The little gourmet shop just outside of the village is a must visit for food and wine. Their strawberry parfait was amazing. We kept going back for more! |

Indoors the rooms are spacious and comfortable and while there isn't air conditioning, there are numerous fans which help to cool the upstairs. WiFi signal is good. What could be improved indoors is the flush of the downstairs toilet and re arrangement of the kitchen into a more useful space.(including a bigger fridge/freezer) The villa is ideally suituated with a 20 minute walk to de Buisson which, while not being a tourist destination, is very authentic with lovely shops, cafes and a magnificent restaurant (Auberge L'Esperance). De Buisson is very well placed to visit all the historical sites, regional markets, beautiful villages and swims in the Dordogne (particularly at Limeuil) We had a lovely 2 weeks and would recommend to fellow travellers. |

On street and lot parking are just around the corner. Tucked in a small street it is very quiet. Great bedding and spacious baths. As usual, it’s one flight above street level. Bdrms are upstairs once on the unit. We managed both stairs easily and are late 70s. I would return to stay anytime! |
